With this intersting app, I can look at star charts on the go! =D
I just tested it a few min back and am impressed with e results. It traced Scorpio's position in the sky based on the set latitude/longitude and time/date functions! It was only some 10 degrees off but that's ok. Its probably coz my time is 10 min fast XD
And did I mention? it automatically updates the stars' positions every few minutes. This is truely a fun and FREE application to use! It doesnt need GPS!
Installation: 1) Download file from website 2) Transfer to phone 3) Go to phone settings --> install

Have fun!! Updates: 03 Mar 10 It freezes if u rotate e map while selecting a star. Likewise if u move it too much when its updating the map.
On e bright side, its compatible with lots of phones. Including lots of older models o.O
Anyway I decided to push it alittle further and used it on an orionless sky. It took me a while due to light pollution but i quickly located germini & leo by using saturn & mars as a reference. So cool =D
Updates: 03 Mar 10 Part, 1100H I can trace Scorpio, Centaur, Lupus, Corvus & Hydra's tail! Awesome stuff! =D All u need is a compass and a lazer pointer!
Come to think of it, Chibi asked me to organize a few outings. She also wants me to invite some of my sec sch buddies.
I wonder, where can the lot of us go to as a group? And I dont think they are interested in some of the locations that I'm already planning for.
Btw, my sec sch clique is quite big. It consists of Lewis, Yang Jun, Ka Gek, Mei Yan, Kenneth, Alina, Sandy, Yen Yen & Shu Ying. The passes I get wont be enough. Anyone have any suggestions??

25 Feb - 26 Feb 25 Feb: Camp is a mess as usual and I got roped in to help prep stuff for the anniversary on 26th. I had to wash some 20 drink dispensers. About half of em were oily and some had termites. I got bitten on my hands and legs while washing em =/
Gross... I'm never gonna drink from these dispensers at any army camp! I'm starting to doubt the cleanliness of dispensers in the cookhouse.
26 Feb: Camp: Woke up at 4.40AM and left house at 5am to wait for my superior to pick me up. Complete madness. I have to wake up soooo early to be in camp by 5:30am. Though it was nice to be given a lift, all that trouble isnt really worth it. Did some misc tasks throughout the event. so lame.
At 11:30, the event came to a close. Had a good lunch in the cookhouse. Its comforting to know that they are capable of giving good food. If only they could keep the quality....
Next, at 1pm, the bus came down and sent us to army career exhibits at marina square. I took a quick glance through and moved on. nothing of interest to me. I then proceeded to chibi's place to install win 7 and play w koko!
@ Chibi's: Upon arrival, I had a little trouble getting in =p Her main doorbell was spoilt and all I saw was a compass toy tied to the gate. Little did I know that that's the door bell! XD
Btw, koko is a crazy bird lol! The first thing I heard when I reached her door was, "Wee O Wee O Wee O Wee O Wee!" It whistles like a machine gun, spamming a wide range of sounds! Pinch the air in front of it and it bursts a round of whistles!! So cool!!!
And oh, her bro kept letting koko out of the cage. It landed on my head. Before enlistment it would be ok. (See Bird Park Trip) My short hair offers 0 def against koko's claws! T_T It dug into my scalp!! D:
As for Win 7, it was a good learning experience for me. I didn't know it had some compatibility issues w some brands =/ I spent much of my time searching for solutions to fix the incompatibilities. Fortunately, I managed to fix it else my dearest mei, Yochana will have to put up with crappy vista. Vista FTL!!! Down with vista! =p
Once resolved, I leeched chibi, taking up her challenge to see if I have a human heart and went back to CCK to mess w my buddies =)
I'll reserve 27th Feb for another day. Its too long w the museum trip and the dinner/movie outing
I'm so bored in camp that I began a little experiment on myself.
Since its easy to gain weight due to my vocation (clerk), I've taken to a low carb diet to maintain my weight. Its simply a gradual reduction of carb intake for lunch n dinner. Everything else remains the same.
Currently, i have lost anywhere between 0.5 to 1cm over a 2.5 month period. If all goes well, I might be able to see some abs in some 6 months from now. Its dam slow but i guess its worth it coz I'm a little lazy to exercise =p
On the other hand, I think I might look weird if i have abs but little chest muscle. Perhaps I ought to head out to the gym...

As part of my 'rehab' for Aikido, I have decided to work on a couple of muscle groups.
For starters, I've been doing breathing exercises to keep my internal strength. Now I shall add on the second phrase - punching with handgrips.
On a random note, I got scolded by a black belt for making my shiho nage uber sharp =p He said that my shiho nage is designed to break the elbow n shoulder. Then again, isnt that the purpose of shiho nage on the streets? O well, I'm a strayed warrior :O

Yesterday, Wei Leng, Eisha, Chibi & I met to purchase out grad attire.
Upon arrival in RP, we had some difficulty looking for the grad ceremony area. The area allocated for us graduands so happens to share space with the matriculation booth. I dont know why but the words, "Graduation Attire" were very small n hardly visible. The word, "matriculation" on the other hand was huge n could be seen a mile away =.="
I guess they really cant wait for us to leave! T_T
Anyway, we had to undergo a stupid long winded lecture on the grad ceremony b4 trying out the grad attire. They initially gave me a size M to wear. However, it looked odd as it was waaay too big! However, it wasjust the right length for my shoulders XD None the less, I decided to settle with a size S. Size M makes me look like a lil kid with clothes big enough for me to wear for 10 years...
After purchasing the grad attire n recieving the grad invitation cards, Mao Shi/Moshi activated her tape recorder mode and tried miserably to PERSUADE us to attend the grad night! Sorry Mao Shi but u just fail at it... Especially when lester/guo wei/yuki is/are there XD
Afterwhich, I went to collect weapons for sat's training. However, I ran into the club advisor who delayed me T_T Anyhow, I'm gonna skipped this part... its too dull. I'll save the bad news for ben n ayie! =D
Chibi's Visit
After all that stuff, Chibi n I went to eat subway @ bukit panjang n headed over to my place to pass me some anime! However, I didnt expect all her stuff to be in dvd!! I also forgot that my dad's laptop has a dvd/cd reader n ended up borrowing most of em from her for the week...
Besides that, I challenged Chibi 1v1 on 1 condition... I shall stay seated in seiza (formal japanese seating)
Rofl, believe it or not, I defeated her n deflected all her attacks XD However, she tried to tickle me so I locked her down with a half-assed ikkyo. This however was not enough as she tried to trickle me with her feet =.=" Not wanting to be tickled, I performed a proper ikkyo n locked her down for good =p
After that, she proceeded to watch some cartoons but fell asleep soon after. lol @chibi... sleepy head!!
