THIS IS SPARTAAAAA!!!
LOL @ today's open house!!
It was crazy despite it being on a Wednesday!!
In the morning, the exhibition hall was dead quiet. <--Expected
However, what I didn't anticipate was the crowd to come in the afternoon!
Hordes of secondary school students raided our station for the quiz answers & free plantlets.
I expected the afternoon to be just as dead as its a weekday!
But lo and behold for it simply got worse as time went by.
^lol at the free plants though...
I bet that the plants are gonna die within a week or two...
In order to transfer & acclimatise the plants from media to soil took my team alittle more than a month. Furthermore, the plants my team transferred DIED. This section of the FYP was unsuccessful.
But once more, I digress! XD
With horde after horde, I had to prepare plantlets to be placed in containers for the visitors. I was madly chopping away with a puny little blade, separating dead plant tissues from clusters of plantlets. This was very tiring. Fortunately, our kind PI/FYP facilitator bought some mocha from Cafe Galilee for us! This went a long way as we were understaffed, under-equipped, space constrained and overworked!
I must also say that the organizers for the open house are quite stingy this round. They didnt give us meal coupons or free lunch! Sat's helpers get lunch just coz most stalls wont be open. So much effort for such poor returns... All we get is a single CE point - which I don't need! (FYI, I can now sign up & skip 21 CE activities as I can afford to waste 21 ce points. (This figure will rise to 22 on Sat due to Aikido IG's workshop.)
Ah well... I hope I can present the subsidy program clearly to the principal when he tours the sports complex! Furthermore, he has imposed a very UNREASONABLE objective upon us... He expects us to be training non-stop to show that the martial arts room is being well used & is worth his every penny. If we fail to put up a good show, he'll turn it into a frickin storage room. If he dare turn it into a storage room, I'm gonna send complains to MoE & leak it to the press.
