Ip Man
(The Movie)

Yet another martial arts flick! =D
None the less, Ip Man is a great movie!

I watched it with Kagek & Lewis (Sec-School buddies)
Haven't seen them in a while & chatted with them abit
It was also funny to see Kagek's reaction when the characters' bones were being broken lol...
She was screaming each time a bone broke...

Besides that, there was an odd elderly couple who critiqued the main char's movements. I think they practice tai chi or wu shu... I'm not sure but they seemed to be naming all the pressure points and techniques.

Although the movie does not accurately describe his life & career, I truly enjoyed it and noticed a few potentially useful moves from several characters in the show. For example, one of the side characters has a throwing technique similar to koshi nage...
I'm not gonna copy it in full but it is a good way to counter a kick =)

I also saw how Sun Tzi Bing Fa may apply in a fight!
There is great importance in obtaining advantageous ground. As to WHY & HOW, I'm gonna have to study Bing Fa again!! LOL!

Besides all these exciting parts, there were some funny & comical moments which were totally random & anti-climax XD However, there was 1 part which made me think alittle more about my martial skills and what they are for. Though I am not as skilled or philosophical as Ip Man, I am still a martial artist.
