Saturday, January 07, 2006 Flooded ROFL! I'm being FLOODED by Polytechnic Newsletter/invitations. With just alittle while more to go till my results are released, I'm gonna be real busy and runnin' all over the country! Although it is good that the results are being released early, I'm starting to feel alittle pressured. Let me ease it off by talking about my essay topic for the O lvls. "Write about how a serious accident led to an area being made safer for those who work or live there." Being an Initial D fan, I chose to write about a friendly race gone TOTALLY WRONG. Location: Demoness's Hairpins - Japan An imaginary location with 180degree/hairpin curves and NO guardrails. I named it Demoness's Hairpins as hairpins would normally be used by a woman. 'Demoness' on the other hand, is just to give it a female fatale/assassin facade. Techniques borrowed from Initial D: Gutter Run - The driver goes at full throttle and dips his front tires into the gutter for stronger centrifugal force. Storyline: I am part of a three man team known as Cerebus - A three headed dog that guards the gates of hell in Greek legend. I then challenge my two other companions to a friendly race to show off a new technique(gutter run). Only one of the two joins me and we proceed at midnight for our friendly match. My buddy and I tackle the corners until I decide to use the gutter run. My baffled companion then attempts to imitate but fails and skids off the cliff. His car crashes into a gas station below and causes a sea of fire to race across half the town. After which, guardrails are erected and tight nettings put up to prevent any cars from falling. The Gas Station is moved to a remote area with no buildings within a 50 metre radius. Finally, the story is concluded with me losing my confidence to drive and mourning for my friend. |
