Friday, December 30, 2005 Enlightenment... Om!!! Lolz, Just joking! I've actually been reading up on Sun Tzi's Art of War and 48 Laws of Power. Law #4 When you are trying to impress people with words, the more you say, the more common you appear, and the less in control. Even if you are saying something banal, it will seem original if you make it vague, open-ended, and sphinxlike. Powerful people impress and intimidate by saying less. The more you say, the more likely you are to say something foolish. I guess I have the ability to do this =X Infact, I have been using it on my LSC members. They always complain of me speaking to them in perfect-English. They fail to realised that my grasp of the English language is FAR from perfection. (I can imagine them being marooned in USA/England. Muahahaha!) Putting all the rubbish I've just typed aside, both the Art of War and 48 Laws of Power have given me great insights for leadership. It doesn't matter if I'm working with enermies or fellow friends. Although working with either side never had much of an impact on me, both books have taught me greater ways to manage both friend and foe. Anyay, I shall end today's post with a simple quote from the Art of War. Ci Bing Jia Zhi Sheng, These are the secrets and principles to winning wars. However, they cannot be discussed, decided nor devulged beforehand. With that, I shall sotp quoting phrases from these books as they ARE my secrets and principles for victory!!! MUAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHHAHAHAAHA! Pr3p4r3 t0 b3 0wn3d t0 t3h M@X!!! =X |
